Dr. Peura is a Marquette native and a 1967 graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in biology.  He then went on to graduate from the University of Michigan dental school in 1971. He served for two years in the U.S. Army prior to beginning his professional career in Marquette in 1973. Dr. Peura is married to Colleen and is the father of five grown daughters. He has two grandsons and one granddaughter. He enjoys living in a recreational paradise and takes advantage of all it has to offer, especially family activities at their cottage near the Hiawatha National Forest. He is also an avid scuba diver in the warm waters of the Caribbean. Dr. Peura is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and the Superior District Dental Society. He also holds memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. McGovern is a 1986 graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree and a 1991 graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School. A native of Escanaba, he also attended Bay de Noc Community College and received an Associates Degree in 1984. He is married to Laurie and is the father of two daughters and a stepfather of two. He has one grandson. Dr. McGovern enjoys the outdoor opportunities afforded one living in the Upper Peninsula, especially hunting, fishing, and golf. He is member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Superior District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Schetter is a Marquette native (formerly Mindy LaBelle). She graduated in 2000 from Northern Michigan University with her bachelors degree in biology then continued on to dental school at the University of Michigan. She graduated in May 2005 and joined our practice shortly afterwards. She is married to Joe and together they have one daughter. They enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and things of the sort. She also enjoys aerobics, reading, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family. She is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, Superior District Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
