Meet the Hygienists
Sue Madden, RDH
Sue is our most senior hygienist, joining our office in January 1989. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan, with a certificate in Dental Hygiene. She is married to Josh, and is the mother of three children; Jen, Josh and Jacy. They all enjoy family time, camping, hiking, kayaking, and fishing. She is a member and past president of the Upper Peninsula District Dental Hygiene Society; also the MDHA and the ADHA. She enjoys giving back to her community. She has been an active member of the Zonta Club of Marquette for over 25 years. She also serves as the dental component of the Geriatric Education Center of Michigan's Upper Peninsula Health Care Team, addressing the health care needs of the elderly. Her commitment to the care of our patients is outstanding.
Laura Izzard, RDH
Laura has been with our office since August 1990. She was a dental assistant before attending Lake Superior State University and completing her hygiene certification at Lansing Community College in 1990. Laura loves the outdoors no matter what, but especially enjoys to fish, hunt, snowshoe, ski, and canoe. Laura brings to our office a unique understanding of the restorative side as well as the preventative side of dentistry. She is a valued member of our staff.
Connie Nelson, RDH
Connie has been with Dental Associates since June 1998. She attended Northern Michigan University, and graduated in 1998 with her degree in Dental Hygiene from Delta college. She is married to Troy; and they have a daughter and a set of twin boys and a dog. Connie enjoys family time, swimming in the summer, and cross country skiing in the winter. Living in Munising, Connie is able to work in our offices both in Marquette and Munising. Her flexibility and friendly attitude make her ideally suited for bringing excellent hygiene care to our patients.
Debbie Bradley, RDH
Debbie has been a dental provider for 34 years. She is married to B.G. and has two sons, Taggart and Patrick, both in their early 20's. Debbie's interests are following her boys' budding careers, skiing, snowshoeing, gardening and gourmet cooking. She brings her maturity and wealth of experience to our office, and her willingness to keep current with new hygiene breakthroughs and practices.
Rachel Koltvedt, RDH
Rachel joined our hygiene staff in January 2006. She graduated from Ferris State University in 2001, and worked in the Grand Rapids area for the first five years. She is also licensed to provide local anesthesia and to administer nitrous oxide sedation. Rachel is married to Derek, and together they like to participate in many outdoor activities such as cross-country skiing, biking, snowshoeing, kayaking, and gardening. Her enthusiasm and additional training in anesthesia and sedation makes her an ideal staff member in our office.
Elizabeth Lasich, RDH
Liz joined our hygiene staff in March 2007. She graduated from Ferris State University in 2000 after also completing one year at Northern Michigan University. As a Marquette native, she has been working in the Marquette area since her graduation. Liz is married to Geoff and together they have one son. She enjoys spending time at home with her family, and many outdoor activities such as hiking and snowshoeing. Liz also has extensive continuing education in TMJ and sleep apnea diagnostics which will enhance the availability of the treatment options current present in our office. This additional training and her fresh approach makes her a great addition to our staff.
